The Rooting in Lineage bundle is a three session package of 1:1 mentorship for folks seeking to begin or deepen their connection to ancestral culture, unravel whiteness and remember their deep interdependence with land and plants.
In these sessions, we will talk about where you are at in your process of ancestral connection, what aspects excite you, and what you long for. We will talk resources for learning, practices & rituals to engage with, and make a plan together for how this process can support your particular work in the world. Expect emotional encouragement & logistical support, invitations for personal learning, book suggestions, and more. Bring your questions, your experiences, your willingness to be self reflective; we are in this together.
This is for organizers, artists, herbalists, healing practitioners, school teachers, and anyone seeking to reweave severed cultural connection. Its suitable for those long on the path as well as folks new to politicized ancestral reconnecion.
Expect frank conversation about the impacts of colonialism and white supremacy, how its shaped us and continues to shape the world, and what that means to for reconnecting to ancestral culture in this context.
After our three sessions together, participants can expect to leave feeling empowered and supported, with lots of resources and next steps to continue this work on their own. Participants will also be welcome to book further sessions for ongoing support.
We all have a part to play in this work of unsettling, remembering who our people are, and repairing severed relationship to ancestors, plants, & land. This season, lets do it together.
Why this offering now?
I deeply believe that connecting to ancestral culture before & beyond whiteness is essential to building a just world. This is a necessary thread, alongside real systems change. Leaning into our lineages, reconnecting with culture, land, plants, spirit – it is the foundational recovery that all else rests upon. and it can be a huge boon in these times of intense political pressure, as we are working to challenge systemic oppression and state violence. Reweaving cultural connection is nourishment for this community work; it is resource, it is healing, it is remembering; and it supports our agency in choosing what legacies we will continue to perpetuate and those we will say no to with our whole bodies. Let your ancestors, the land, plants, be at your side in the work of your life; let these remembered relationships help you keep showing up.
I hope this offering can be in service to the broader work of collective liberation, and help us as settler diasporic communities tend our wounds, heal our lineages and show up for work being asked of us in these times.

Logistics
- We will meet three times for three 1:1 sessions (approx 60 minutes in length) over Zoom
- Dates for our sessions are peppered throughout the weekdays, M-F, 9am-5pm ET.
- The calendly link to sign up will be available after registration.
- Participants are responsible for scheduling their sessions in full within 6 months from purchase.
- Folks are welcome to schedule additional sessions afterwards for ongoing work at a discounted rate.

Who is facilitating this offering?
For folks new to me & my work –
rowan is a qt facilitator, researcher, writer, zinester, folklorist, somaticist, herbalist and anarchist. They come from Irish, Lithuanian, Scottish and Sicilian peoples, and are a 3rd gen settler on turtle island/n America. rowan works at the intersections of plant kin relations, ancestral cultural repair, and anti racism for settlers, all in service to total liberation.
They teach workshops on plantlore of the Celtic Isles, ancestral lineage tending, herbalism, queer care and more. They hold space for settlers and qt folks to reckon with trauma, embodied white supremacy, assimilation + cultural loss, and what is being asked of us in this current political moment. They support community members in bringing their actions more deeply in alignment with their values in big and small ways. And they encourage those who have forgotten that listening to the land, attuning to the wild holy, is always the place to begin.
