COME TOGETHER

a long covid peer support group

join in queer long covid community for mutual support, skill & infosharing, and relationship weaving!

we come together to share skills and information on navigating long covid.  over the course of three months, we will gather to process our experiences, share what we have learned, try new things, and be together. we will talk herbs, food, emotional support practices, embodiment practices, creativity, grief & rage, structural shifts, lists and other logistical supports, surviving under capitalism and more.

come with your feelings and your bodies truth. come with your lived experience. come to hear the experiences of others. come to share what you know about your own wise body, and come ready to learn from the wisdom of others. come to find similarities and resonance, differences in individual experiences, and mutual respect throughout.

let this group be an anchor. let the group support you in these times of intense stress. let the knowing that you are not alone in this tend some of the rough edges. long covid is intense on its own; add in a govt supported culture of covid denial and it becomes even more fraught. we come together to remember that we don’t have to do it all alone; we support each other reciprocally when gathering around shared emotional experiences. let yourself be nourished as you also contribute to a wider web of community nourishment.

come as you are. you are welcome here. we are in this together.

The Shape of Our Time Together

Month 1 – Rest

The first thing people tell you you need to do if you have Long Covid is rest, so we will start here. What is rest? What is restful to each of us? How do we access rest while living under systemic oppression and late stage capitalism? How can we weave in rest into our lives, daily schedules, etc?

Month 2 – Nourishment

How can we deeply nourish our holy bodies? How do we access nourishment? What is nourishing to each of us? We will explore refilling our cups, accessing necessary resource, refilling depleted stores and trying on patterns & practices to support us in this.

Month 3 – Resilience

How can we deepen into our resilience as we live in this world? How do we support our whole beings resilience, our hearts and bodies and spirits? What systems, structures, habits, etc have we experimented with and want to take with us forward? What community webs and relational building will support our resiliency?

What it Costs

this three month program is offered on a sliding scale: $630 / $420 / $210.

Please pay according to your access to wealth, generational support, job prospects, race & class, etc. If you have stable housing and do not experience food insecurity, please pay the highest rate of $666. If you live paycheck to paycheck, experience regular housing/food insecurity, etc. you are invited to pay the lower end of the scale at $210. The more folks pay on the first tier of the scale, the more lower income spots are available for the cohort. Thank you for participating in helping weave sliding scale webs and supporting economic access!

Payment plans are available at checkout if that makes this offering more accessible to you. This will automatically charge your card each month.

Questions and Answers

WILL THIS BE VERY INTENSE?

  • This will be a very gentle container in which intense feelings will potentially be swirling.
  • All practices will be invitational (meaning you can feel into if something feels supportive and appropriate for you)
  • We will be exploring our personal grief and rage, so we can choose how deep to go or how much we want to dive into it at this time, given our capacity; you always have the choice to go at the pace that’s right for you
  • Together after touching on our personal experiences, the focus will be on sharing experiences, skills, plant relationships, practices (including embodiment and non-body based), and ritual invitations around tending the grief and rage that lives within us all
  • This will be a firmly held facilitated container so that the intention for the offering remains on course
  • We will take breaks and practice titration!

STAYING CONNECTED

My practice is slow, intentional and intimate. I’m not on social media so much; I do occasionally share things through my instagram, @hawthornandyew. However, the best way to stay in touch and hear whats new is to sign up for my newsletter HOME/BODY.

You’ll hear from me on a weekly-ish basis, and these notes will contain info on upcoming workshops and programs, new zines, things my friends are working on, and more alongside long form writing about things i’m learning about, feeling about, questioning and embodying. tune in for musings on herbs, relationship with the world, embodying our values, dreaming and moving towards a more just world, and the practices that will can help get us there.
